DVS Carbon - Advanced CO2 Sorption Analyzer for CCUS Applications

The performance analysis of materials in carbon capture, storage, and utilization is crucial for researchers, highlighting the need for accurate and reliable analyses. In this context, DVS Carbon emerges as an innovative solution, combining gravimetric precision, humidity control, and advanced mixing capabilities to offer a perfectly calibrated solution for advanced carbon dioxide (CO2) analysis in carbon capture, utilization, and storage applications.

An Overview of DVS Carbon

The DVS Carbon is a revolutionary sorption analyzer designed for advanced carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) applications. It enables measurement of CO2 absorption under real-life conditions, controlling temperature and humidity across a wide range of CO2 concentrations.

Equipped with Surface Measurement Systems' patented Ultrabalance technology, the DVS Carbon offers real-time mass change measurements during sorption and desorption processes. This capability allows researchers to evaluate complex carbon capture conditions in various materials and can be configured to meet specific research and application needs.

First of its Kind

In the rapidly growing research space, DVS Carbon is the first purpose-built gravimetric sorption analyzer for advanced carbon capture conditions.

Independent Multicomponent Control

With a carefully calibrated mixing system, DVS Carbon independently controls CO2 and water concentration, enabling the creation of complex sorption programs with controlled changes in concentration and temperature.

CO2 and H2O Isotherms

Test your materials for CO2 and water isoforms under realistic conditions, with kinetics for each step available by default with our purpose-built control and analysis software.

Multiple Concentration and Temperature Ranges

High (%) or low range (ppm) CO2 can be controlled, suitable for DAC, PCC, or other CCUS conditions.

In-situ Activation and Regeneration

Expanding your instrument's capabilities with a pre-heater, your sample can be heated locally up to 300 °C under inert or process gas, with drying activation or segmentation kinetics determined directly.

DVS Carbon5: Advanced Efficiency

The latest addition to the DVS Carbon family, the DVS Carbon5, is a high-throughput instrument that redefines gravimetric sorption analysis. Building on the legacy, DVS Carbon5 combines the precision and reliability you expect from DVS Carbon with the added strength of not one, but five low or high mass Ultrabalances.

Accelerate your experiments and achieve results at an unprecedented pace. The unique configuration allows you to run multiple samples simultaneously, increasing your laboratory's efficiency and productivity.
