EN

The MagneTherm system is truly unique: it measures thermal effects and performs hyperthermia tests on magnetic fluids and magnetic nanoparticles across a wide user-configurable frequency range.

Despite the surge in availability and use of magnetic nanoparticles, no commercial system had allowed hyperthermia testing on nanoparticles—at varied frequencies and field strengths—until now.

Nanotherics designed MagneTherm™ specifically for this need, with flexible high/low frequencies, operating from 50 kHz to 1.2 MHz and field intensities up to 20 kA/m (25 mT), ideal for in vivo applications. Since magnetic nanoparticle heating depends on size, shape, and material properties, it’s critical to evaluate heating across a broad frequency range.

Features

  • Only commercial hyperthermia tester for heating capacity of magnetic nanoparticles.
  • Flexible operating frequency.
  • Portable, convenient size.
  • Use for in vivo and in vitro studies.
  • Low/high frequency *50 KHz – 1,000 KHz for user flexibility.
  • Field intensity up to 25 mT, adjustable.
  • Excellent thermal insulation.
  • Vertical or horizontal sample housing: supports nanoparticles and animal models.
  • Needs only a tap or recirculating water bath for cooling—keeps ambient temperature.
  • Fully safety-tested.
  • Analysis in PCR tubes and vials (1 ml to 50 ml).
  • Benchtop format.
  • No bulky refrigeration systems required.

10 standard frequencies:

All field intensities can be reduced from maximum to zero (mT scale), if required by the operator.

MagneTherm is the only commercial instrument covering below 50–100 kHz and above 100–1000 kHz with clinical testing, assessing field intensity for magnetic fluid hyperthermia and providing excellent in vivo and in vitro calorimetry. Data show increasing temperature-rise rates with higher AC frequency on 11 nm magnetite suspended in water and citrate-stabilized.
